Scotch Vinyl Mastic Pad 2200 is a 125-mil thick, self-fusing, rubber-based insulating mastic tape laminated to a flexible, weatherproof grade vinyl (PVC) backing. These protective pre-cut adhesive pads are designed to insulate, moisture seal and pad all connections up to 600V.

Scotch® Vinyl Mastic Pad 2200 Series insulates and helps seal electrical connections rated up to 600 volts. Self-fusing properties help protect electrical components from moisture and contaminants. Made to withstand harsh environments, the polyvinyl (PVC) backing is resistant to abrasion, moisture, alkalies, acid, copper corrosion, and ultraviolet light. All-weather grade vinyl makes this pad appropriate for either indoor or outdoor use. The conformable pad remains flexible over a wide temperature range from 0°F (-18°C) to 100°F (38°C). Temperature stable mastic adhesive securely bonds with many metals and power cable jacket materials. This pad is compatible with common solid dielectric cable insulation. This product is black in color and 125-mil thick.
Typical uses include insulating bolted connections, service drops, traffic signal wire connections, lighting connections, transformer bushing protection, padding bolted connections on bus bar, grounding rod connection protection, terminal protection, cable end sealing and secondary compression connections.
